The only connections I did not check were the USB headers for the front panel slots, should I remove my wireless card and check these too. Specs: self-build. It sounds as if Your USB Ports are dead. In any case, I'm glad you got it worked out and it wasn't a hardware problem. What Seems to happen is that the plastic piece that the USB contacts are supported on breaks off and the next time something is plugged in it mashes the pins together solved USB Ports losing power randomly, any help appreciated! It could pay to check with Dell. I have an Intel stick and I use my TV for a monitor inputs not working ie, keyboard,mouse,usb ports when booting starts. DVI, HDMI, PS/2 ports don't work.
