When I was booting the system keyboard is working fine, I changed the Boot option in BIOS. I first had a problem detecting the HDD when I used an old one but then tried a Windows XP SP2 disc and everything went fine.

yes, the keyboard works in the bios and at the point of selecting the options for installing XP. If not it will once you slot in the disc and the drivers install. Creating your account only takes a few minutes. Reboot the computer and try again.
